Rated 5 out of 5 by Great blower I liked this blower so much I bought three more online through a government auction site. They get the job done! January 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Blower This is by far the best blower one can get: Starts easily, very powerful, reliable, fairly light. The only inconvenient thing I can think of is that it's a 2-cycle (like all STIHL products). Otherwise, absolutely nothing bad to say about the Magnum. It's a superb machine!!! January 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this machine I do lawn care and as a gal I want good stuff I don't have to mess with. This blower rocks. I also have a BG85 handheld blower which is nice for a handheld but the 600 is light years ahead! December 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by PERFECT FOR ANY JOB! I have used a br600 magnum for a while now for my business, completed my fleet with 2 more br600s. I can tell you it is extremely powerful, yet nimble enough for small every day jobs. Light weight and by far the most comfortable back pack blower in the industry. The 4 mix is amazing, quiet and extremely reliable. Do your self a favor, if your in the market for a strong, quiet, lightweight and reliable blower, go ahead and buy the best and never look back. STIHL ALL THE WAY! THANKS FOR THE GREAT PRODUCTS! December 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just like a ninja turtle This blower far surpasses ,echo, red max 8500. Use it once and you'll understand what i mean. It's ergonomically designed and fits your back like a turtle shell. Red max 8500 feels like you are carrying a 26 lb box on your back 'where as the stihl br600 is a pleasure to have on with minimal fatigue and effort even after 4-5 hours of continuous leaf blowing. It looks like the engineering department got it right on this backpack blower second to none. Don't hesitate buying this as it will be the best blower you ever purchased. December 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing tool Overall, I'm very pleased with this tool. I have a relatively small lot (100' X 150') but we have several large maples and get a ton of leaves each fall. It's not uncommon to bag up 50 bags of leaves or more each fall.Pros- Definitely powerful. High speed and high volume of air moves wet, matted leaves, twigs, grass clippings. It clears out expansion joints in the concrete, nooks and crannies around the house, garage, brickwork. It basically clears everything that needs to go.- Relatively quiet. Compared to other backpack leaf blowers, this is a bit quieter although I still wear hearing protection.Cons- Like most leaf blowers, the vibration at the handle gets tedious after a while. It has a throttle lock so it can be set to running with the handle held loosely which helps, but still, a strap attachment with a web mount instead of the hard plastic clamp would probably make a world of difference. (I'll probably redesign mine because that's what I do.)- And speaking of throttle locks, it only locks on full speed. This works great for clearing large open areas, but isn't so helpful when I'm working to create several smaller piles for bagging. Sometimes it's much easier to pile up the leaves with the device running at not much over idle. A "cruise control" feature that locks in at any speed would be better. Some other brands offer this option so it's not an outlandish concept. (I'll probably modify mine to do this also.)- Lastly, a chest strap to go between the 2 shoulder straps in front would also be a great addition. This is a common feature on hiking backpacks. I've already added this to my leaf blower and I'm much happier with it. November 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by This is a great unit I would highly recommend this blower. I bought it in April of 2015 I used it all summer cleaning sidewalks and drive way. One thing I dread every fall is raking leaves. This is the first fall in 20 years that I dident even touch the rake . I bought several blowers/ vacs over the years . They dident even compare to this unit. I bought the oil (stehl brand ) the dealer recommend never had a problem starting it. Generally on the first pull. Great product November 29, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Saves me time and effort. I live in the woods on 10 acres of maple, beech, oak, ash, and black cherry. Moving leaves in the fall is a major task, and very time consuming. I've used rakes with tarps, electric hand blowers, gas push blowers, and even the neighbors tractor and pull behind vacuum. I love the fall, but always dread the leaf cleanup job. My wife bought me the BR450 for my birthday to help me out. . I knew that the 600 Magnum existed; so with my wife's blessing, I returned the 450 before even using it, and upgraded to the 600 (in my world, big is good, bigger is better). This machine is exactly what I've needed. It clears dry leaves fast and easily - doesn't matter how big or deep the pile. It literally scours the lawn for twigs, acorns, wet leaves, and anything that isn't staked down. The lawn is about 1.5 acres in size, and I can move all the leaves, both front and backyards, in about 90 minutes. This used to take me, at best, 5 to 6 hours. The job includes blowing them out of house corners, flower beds, rock gardens, and under decks; and then 10 yards into the woods. I've even used it to clear eave troughs. By the way, it works well on cold snow (vs the heavy, wet stuff). I blew off my sidewalk and concrete pad in front of the garage that had 2-3 inches of new stuff - just make sure you're going with the wind!I've had no trouble starting the blower, 1 or 2 pulls and she takes off. The tank holds enough for me to almost finish the yard, that's at full throttle for about 75 minutes. The only change I would make to the machine is adding a cross strap across the chest area. I use a short rubber strap with hooks; it works just fine.Compared to all the other methods of clearing leaves, this is by far the best. If you're like me, there's always one tool that you'd hate to do without. This blower is it. November 24, 2015
