Rated 1 out of 5 by This product has a bad recoil starter Purchased this BR 600 M in March 2015 took it to store three times now for retelling noise, broken parts in manual recoil starter. been told will take couple weeks to get it back where should be replaced at once. This is my third BR600 in 6 years. had never issues with STIHL equipment until now. I would not recommend this product. April 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by BR 600 Magnum This blower has extreme power. I like to edge the side walks which usually causes a lot of clumpy grass and dirt. The BR 600 clears all the dirt and grass in half the time. I wish I would have purchased this years ago. I highly recommend this blower. April 12, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by First Stihl - Amazing Product Wanted to get a blower to help remove leaves in an area of the yard we had cleared in the fall and to help throughout the year with general sidewalk/driveway cleanup and then again in the fall when the leaves started covering my yard. Last season was a nightmare and I still have leaves under my hedges and throughout the yard that my electric blower couldn't move.I always seem to buy products at Big Box stores and this was my first experience with Stihl. First off, I was amazed at the customer service difference and actually being able to try the different models at the store. Its hard to look at specs and reviews to see which model would suit my needs. Being able to try the BR 430, BR 350, BR 500, and BR 600 made a huge difference -- Only wish they had more leaves at the dealer. It took me a little bit to finally make a decision and I came back later in the day to buy the BR600. What really made up my mind was seeing a few commercial landscapers and they all seem to be using Stihl blowers.Purchased the extra fuel to extend the warranty to 4 years. Good peace of mind to know that anything that goes wrong can be fixed with the dealership I purchased from. Getting a product fully assembled, tested, with a full tank of gas and ready to go the moment I got home was fantastic! The BR600 is a beast of a blower and for all purposes, probably more blower than what an average homeowner needs; however...I had a commercial job that needed to be done in removing a TON of leaves from my yard in the area we had cleared. The BR600 easily moved piles of wet leaves and was even successful in moving moss that had been covering sections of my lawn. Added bonus, dog droppings were also hurled out of my way. Leaves under the hedges were no match and I was out for about an hour and made a huge dent in the work that I needed to do.I have some back issues and the vibration control and weight distribution made the blower very easy to use and I was no less for the wear. Straps sliding to the sides of my shoulders ( an issue other had mentioned) I also experienced. The dealer offered an attachment strap that prevents them from sliding and I'll probably go back to get it.While the BR600 is an expensive piece of machinery- It's fun to use and excels at what it's designed to do. The only downside is that after using this I'm looking at adding a few more Stihl products. April 12, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Stihl Br 600. Powerhouse Blower. This Br 600 is a very powerful professional blower that sips fuel and starts in 2 pulls every time, everyday. Stihls product description is right on the money, no false advertising here. April 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by 110% legit let me preface this first : I have spent equal amount of slave time doing yard work as it took building the pyramids. I Live in SE Arkansas along a rural two lane highway. It's rural but not remote. This is the second home I have owned and the second home to have enough yard work to say good bye to many many many weekends of what free time you thought you might have. I am fed up with spending all the time I do slaving away on this property. went out and bought this blower and didn't lose any sleep over the cost. I do wonder why I did not make this purchase sooner ??? 2 1/2 hours of running this blower after work yesterday I accomplished the same volume of work it would normally take 10+ hours to do by hand. that's not an exaggeration I have 4 acres. I don't need to have a commercial business to know what I am talking about. The cost shouldn't be an issue if you are on the fence about buying one. Residential or commercial you should not be without this piece of equipment. The cost of hiring a crew to come out and do the work I am doing myself will pay for the blower. The amount of time it will save me and efficiency alone is worth it. Two hours and 1/2 gallon of gas (or less) vs a full days work by hand...enough said. I don't care if I run this thing so much the engine blows up the first year I have it. It is already paying for itself. there is also another note...going ahead and buying the commercial grade blower means you can make a little commercial grade money for yourself on the side. There shouldn't be much thinking involved in this. The blower will pay for itself either in time saved, contracting commercial yard crews, or the ability to actually make money on the side yourself. This is an incredible investment whether you are a home owner or rent. This is a great way to make a little supplemental income for either. I have wasted so much time in the past slaving away doing things the traditional way and I am done with that. I am going to buy two Stihl chainsaws and a zero turn mower and be able to do everything I need to do in a 1/4 of the time. In hindsight I should have never bought property that requires me to dedicate so much of my time. The flip side of that is the equipment i intend on purchasing will be a great investment. I can start a small business and deduct some of the cost as expenses + potentially make income and offset some of the out of pocket cost.I didn't even consider or look at the other models or brands. I went out and bought the top of line biggest blower. I would make the same decision twice and not blink.go all in and get the big one. go outside and knock your work out fast and get done with it. I like the exercise and being outside just as much as the next person but working smarter not harder should be the way to go.I don't care what size yard you have...there is a potential way this equipment will pay for itself and then some. I hadn't owned mine 24 hrs before I had co-workers and neighbors asking about it.24 hrs already $$$ signs...I could rent/borrow it out, sit at home and be making cash's small enough to fit in the front seat floorboard of the corolla and easy enough for a child to use. have zero issue with anything. no complaints and no problems.just wish I had bought sooner.stihl also makes the best equipment w/out question.never had any issue with the stihl brand. everything I have ever owned made by stihl has never disappointed. always ran my equipment to the point of failure because I had too and my stihl never quit on me.anything with moving parts will eventually develop problems doesn't matter what the cost or brand. that's inevitable. Rated 5 out of 5 by First time use was amazing! Why didn't I buy something like this years ago! Just finished blowing leaves, pine ones, and pine needles off our yard and well into the woods in around 30 min. With my old electric blower, the job would normally take me several hours and involved hauling leaves into the woods using a tarp. Not with the BR600! Hopefully the 4MIX engine proves to be a long lasting solution that works well. I like the general idea and hope the blower is as durable as my Stihl chainsaw. If you value your time, this is the tool to get. April 2, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best backpack blower on the market... Fact... Ya other brands claim to have higher mph ratings but try using one of those tanks for 8hrs in a day.... Stihl light weight, tons of power, starts on first pull, sips gas,a 10 year old could start it, buy one and you will never buy another brand again.... The best FACT! March 29, 2015
