    the little blower that could
We purchased this blower about a year ago to replace a older br 380 we had as a backup. We didn't want such a bulky blower so we opted for this one. We use it for our commercial gardening business. It has been used about 5 days a week since we've owned it and it still hasn't been in the shop once. It still has the original carburetor and spark plug. We had a hard time with the tube mounted throttle since we mostly used hip throttle blowers. It just takes practice. This blower is strong and light ... read more and very fuel efficient.

    A nice backpack blower.
I maintain about 1 1/2 acres of land with a fair amount of maple trees. Fall brings on many many leafs to get rid of before snowfall. I own a BG 56 as well as this unit. I wanted something with more power to blow my leaves as well as customers. This is a nice blower that has more power then my hand held. I compared the two side by side. For the price it could be a little more powerful but you wont get a nicer quality blower at this price with more power. If you truly want more then go with the ... read more 430 but this seems like a nice upgrade in power compared to my handheld.

    There's a reason....
There's a reason why Stihl products cost little more. It's because you get what you pay for. This blower falls into that category. From looks and design to performance, I'm glad a paid a few dollars more for a Stihl. The blower is powerful enough for the average homeowner and has a low db rating so it's not that loud. From the minute I brought this home, I had a blast (no pun intended) cleaning up all of the leaves....from heavy and wet Maple leaves to lighter and smaller Japanese maple this ... read more blower makes easy work of cleaning up.

    Pushing Leaves
Working almost 3 acres of mixed woodland. Bought this today and 5 tanks of gas later I can say I put a major dent in the leaves and pine needles. Almost bought an echo which are cheaper but Stihl has always delivered on their other products. I have a few. Wish we could burn these leaves like we did as kids.

    This is one sweet machine!
Starts fast and easily as long as you start it as instructed in your manual. It has superb power and is comfortable to operate, as long as you keep your posture correct and don't slouch your shoulders. That being said, this blower is the best I've operated in my 30 yrs. experience and I've tried a few different brands over those years. Best of all it's MADE IN AMERICA! (always keep fresh gas or store as recommended in the owners manual, I always use a fuel preservative in all my equipment before ... read more storage with great results)

Very Quite and Does the Job
I Maintain Grounds equipment on a university campus and we recently purchased three BR 500 Blowers for our department. All three are working great and it is much nicer around campus with the reduced noise levels from these blowers. We have many trees and at any one time are running 7 to 8 leaf blowers during the Fall to keep up. The BR 500 Blowers move less air than other blowers that are available but they provide enough air to do the job and as stated above produce noticeably less noise.

Great design for the urban leaf blower.
Excactly what was needed in a noise conscience environment. Stihl enough power to lift wet leaves of the sidewalks. If I was to use it everyday I would probably go for the BR600 but since it is only used sparingly this does the job I bought it for.

Best money I've ever spent on a blower period.I will probably never have to buy another blower.

High powered machine built for work
This blower is a true power house that will make short work of yard work. I appreciate the ability to save hours on jobs that used to take a lot of time and effort. The large fuel tank is definitely a plus in eliminating the need to stop in the middle of a project. When a person gets serious about their work and is tired of using the cheaper blowers, this is the one that will definitely provide a big step up.

    No Problems
I read reviews about the straps sliding down, not having power when starting, and a few more problems. But, I purchased it from Ace Hardware, where it sputtered a bit when they started it for me, but after it warmed up for a minute, it ran fine. As for the straps, the man at Ace showed me that you need to put the blower on something about the height you would have it on your back. Put the straps on, and then have another person pull the straps from the bottom to cinch it up properly. In doing ... read more that, they don't slip for me, and it works fine. Very happy with the ease to use, reliability, and the weight for the power it has.

blowes a lot of leafs fast
I wish I had bought this blower years a go. It is easy to use, not to heavy and blows leafs great. I am 69 years old and have had both knees replaced and I run 2 or 3 tanks of gas and take a break not because of my knees hurt, but when you get my age it takes a little time to get your wind back. My STHIL dealer here in Benton is great to deal with

    Great for ladies too!
After my divorce my nephew lent me his old Stihl blower and bagger from his landscaping business. This was the blower that was not secured and fell off the truck and hit the pavement, but it still worked like a dream. I appreciated it because it had the bagger feature and was easy to start. Long story short. He moved the blower and bagger went with him and I went out the next weekend and purchased the same model with the bagging feature. Thank you for building such a dependable, easy to start ... read more durable piece of yard equipement.

    Great blower
Bought this blower 18 months ago , love the cruise control just lift the kill lever up to the desired speed runs great , easy to start , I use only 90 octane ethanol free fuel ( just search for " pure-gas " and you can find gas stations that sell it near you ) and synthetic 2-cycle oil , I had to clean the spark arester screen this spring just unscrew the exhaust port remove the screen hit it with some penetrating oil and wire brush and screw it back in , replaced spark plug with e3.24 plug and ... read more clean the air filter is all I ever had to do to this blower , I use this blower to clean my drive way , gutters , blow leaves it even blows wet leaves , I even use it to blow dry my motorcycle after I wash it , it works great , I think this blower is going to last a long time .

Good, but a few issues early on.
I have only had this machine about 4 - 6 weeks and have given it only light use so far. But it has been easy to start and operate. Air flow and velocity seem good and it really has not been as noisy as the electric blower I had before. I really like not having a cord to get out, drag around, and put up. I did have a problem while on my 3rd tank of fuel and took it for service. They replaced the carburetor within 2 days and it now seems OK.

    Excellent Leaf Blower
I got my blower about a month ago. I used to use a BG55 to do minor leaf blowing around my property. I decided to get the 600 from all of the positive reviews that it was receiving and a couple co-workers recommendation. I have a 4 acre yard behind that there about 5 miles of trails. This leaf blower has been able to blow leaves in places that I believe have never been blown before. If your debating about purchasing this blower do it. It will not let you down.

    BR600 REVIEW
this product is very reliable and strong. Out of all the Stilh products i would say that it has the shortest motor expectancy though. It does not break down very often but it does not seem to last as long as other stihl products. It runs strong right until it blows up. It is still a good machine.I wish it would last as long as the weedeaters, edgers and hedge trimmers.

    A purchase without regret
I purchased my BR600 Magnum in Oct 2015. We have many oak, hickory, and maple trees. It moves the leaves quickly and efficiently, even when the leaves are wet and heavy. Acorns and hickory nuts are relocated too. A huge upgrade from my "light duty" backpack blower and much more effective than my neighbor's "professional" model 430 backpack blower. I can finish blowing my yard in about 1/2 to 2/3 the time it previously took. It is somewhat effective in moving light snow in southern TN as well! I ... read more only regret not spending the money and purchasing it sooner.
