    This Product works great!
This Product works great for the Value and it's intended uses, I bought it to blow the pine needles off our Patio and walk way once a week and was looking at something that was easy to get out and use with out gassing it up all the time, was worried about the electric one not having much blowing force but to my surprise it did a great job!

Light weight, Easy to handle, Two speeds
I bought the electric blower because I didn' t want to mess with the gasoline/oil mixture. This blower is light weight, easy to handle, and the two speeds are really nice. I use the low speed to get leaves out of my garden without blowing away the decorative rock and for blowing out the garage. This blower makes my yard clean up less time consuming and it even blows pine needles without blinking an eye. I get about 25 huge bags of leaves every year and this blower helped me get the leaves under ... read more control. Now if it could put the leaves in the bags, that would be awesome!. It is also quieter than other blowers I have used. I will definately buy another Stihl product again. It was so fun to use that I wanted to keep blowing and clean out my neighbors yard!

    Excellent leaf blower!
I bought this on a recommendation from the local Stihl dealer- Green Thumb. This blower starts easily, is comfortable to hold, and has more power than I really need. What I needed was a blower to clean off a large concrete area and long walkway that gets a lot of debris on it from trees. This blower "blew" through it in minutes. This is a solid unit made from quality materials and I really like the "Made in America" idea as well. The dealer gassed it up and tested it for me before I left.

    Great investment, power, easy
After borrowing blowers from family I decided to spend the money and buy my own. I own a Stihl chainsaw and never had any problems with it. I went to a local Stihl dealer ship where I bought my chainsaw and picked this blower up. They started it up right out of the box and gave it a test run. I went home and started using it. I was amazed how easy it was to start. It has good power for cleaning out gutters. I was also amazed how light the machine is. All in all it is a great machine for any home owner.

    Works as expected
Takes a minute or two to warm up, but I warm up my power equipment anyway. Works great with the gutter attachment and has plenty of power for my .5 acre city lot. The only gripe I have is that there is no trigger lock/"cruise control" so you have to hold the trigger down the whole time you are using it, but I knew that before I bought it.

    Great Product
Bought this tool as an afterthought but couldn't be happier. My Stihl gas chainsaw died and needed replacement, got tired of mixing gas and oil and decided to go battery. But after buying charger and battery for chainsaw decided better off also getting blower (my plug in electric blower had also recently quit) since already had fixed cost in battery and charger. So guess which tool I use every few days? This blower is terrific, certainly quiet compared to electric and gas, and does great job ... read more clearing our long driveway and patio. Couldn't be happier with product. Chainsaw also great but not needed as much.

    Real power from a cordless
I was very skeptical when I bought my first cordless piece of lawn equipment. It was the Stihl cordless chainsaw, and from the first limb I cut I was impressed. This tool is no different. The convenience of no cord, no fuel, no pull start cannot be stressed enough. I still have the gas version of both and use them when I know I will be at it for an extended period of time, but for a quick cleanup or quick trim this Stihl equipment cannot be beat if for no other reason than time saved, but there ... read more is no loss of quality on a job well done.

    Fully meets all my expectations
Bought it to blow leaves off the roof and clear the gutters. Does all that and more. Even used it this morning to blow the snow off the driveway and Suburban in 10 degree temperature. Using the 160 battery it lasted a full 30 minutes even at that temperature! May have to buy a second 160 battery to increase use life (driveway 150' long) but overall with the sole exception of the high price I love the machine. It is light enough that my wife will use it while she would never use a gas blower of ... read more which I have several.

    Must follow starting order
Blower has plenty of power and runs great. When I purchased this blower over a year ago I was given explicit instructions on starting. I learned very early they must be followed. On the few occasions I didn't follow them I had a hard time getting the blower started.

Quick, economical, reliable and gets the job done; that's a bargain product.
I purchased my BG55 on sale at the beginning of this mowing season. We own a various number of Stihl units for our farm/home maintenance, including the BG550 Backpack blower. The BG 55 exceeds our needs for various projects such as the quick clean-up of grass clippings after mowing, managing the removal of the fall leaves or clearing the sidewalks after a lite snowfall. It's versatile, effecient and easy to use, so we are continually coming up with new uses for our BG55. It was a good purchase ... read more and we would recomend it to others.

BG 55 more power than expected
The BG55 does an amazing job tackling any job that you put infront of it. I originally got so I could just blow away gras clippings off sidewalks and patios. During the fall I used it to blow leaves all around my (4.5 acre) yard. It did an amazing job for the fact that it is the smallest leaf blower Stihl makes. However it does get a little when you use it for long periods of time. I will be getting a BR 600 in the fall. Stihl is the best by far

    this blower has good power
I bought this in lieu of an Echo 500. My main reason was the weight, only being 12 pounds vs 22.doesn't have as much power, but for what I use it for it is perfect. Mainly I use it to dry off my cars when I wash them, and keep my property starts very easily,it will blow grass clippings and small piles of leaves easily. If you're looking to blow massive amounts of leaves this is not the blower for you. Overall I am very happy with this product.

This blower is everything and then some....professional product at a affordable price
After reading the reviews from this site I called my Local Stihl dealer and purchased this unit over the phone. I picked it up that afternoon and immediately went home and used it to clean up from the storm we had a few days ago....It is most definitely a professional product at a affordable price...Stihl hit the nail on the head for home owners looking for a good quality back pack blower at a reasonable price..I would certainly say to anyone that ask to go and buy this blower....Money well spent

This blower is definitey worth the money!
I bought the BR 200 to replace a hand held blower i had for about 13 years! It was one of the best purchases i have ever made! right out of the box it started on the 3rd pull! if you shut it down and let it sit ,it restarts with only 1 pull! I feel it has very good power! And at full throttle, you can barely feel it the vibration system is that good! I'm hoping to replace a chainsaw soon! and I'm definety going to replace it with a STIHL!

    Another quality Stihl product!
I'm a professional handyman and lawn service. I have many Stihl products (2 weed wackers, power saws, and now this blower. And I couldn't be happier! Plenty of power and easy to use with one hand. I also cut my raking time in half, as I have many large maples in my yard. Highly recommend!

    Great blower
I bought this because the dealer services their products unlike Lowes, etc. Also the weight is great and enough power for my 2/3 acre home. The dealer showed me how to start it and it works. Turn switch to on. Press primer 10 times. Set to full choke and pull 3 times. Set choke halfway between full and none and pull till starts. Once started leave choke at mid-setting until throttle squeezes give full rev then you can move choke to off. If engine is warm but hasn't run for <30 minutes set choke ... read more to mid and pull till starts as above. Most will agree that blower starting is the biggest pain. I'm happy so far. Will update if it goes south....
