Rated 5 out of 5 by Great auger! Honest Pest Solutions uses the BT 45 to install all of our termite baiting systems. It is a great auger for termite and pest control companies. Not heavy, uses different auger bits and sizes. It will pay for its self in no time at all. The good news if that is what you use it for, it is a cheaper option than the bigger augers. With a 3" drill head the BT 45 has no problem going 12"-18" deep. Even in the Georgia red clay. June 3, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wish I had bought one of these years ago I purchased the BT45 last fall with the intention of planting spring flowering bulbs, spring annuals, small perennials and ground covers with the auger as a time and back saver. The auger has a 2 speed gear box which came in handy with denser clay soils in low gear, high gear is used for most soils though.Low vibration, good on fuel, starts up well, power is perfect for the augers intended use. This auger is not for installing big fence posts or very rocky, super dense soils. We installed 24 flats of pansies yesterday with the auger, amazing how much quicker, neater, loosens the soil well, can not imagine going back to digging with a trowel for smaller plants installs. Rated 5 out of 5 by BT45 As a large landscape company we use this drill with 3" and 4" bits for planting in prepped beds. It does its job exactly as designed. The added/moveable handle is a great feature on this drill. October 30, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by multi use property owners must have tool. Used for fence post in some pretty tough, compacted, & a bit rocky dirt . The BT45 kicked butt! chewed through dirt well beyond its purposed intention. Also worked wonders repurposed as a soil mixer just add amendments and let the BT45 go to work. It mixes soil like a kitchen mixer. May 22, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Beyond the suggested use... I bought and used two of these to plant a wetland mitigation site. I had to fabricate a piece to allow me to run a larger bit-- the 4" ones designed for planting one gallon plants. The ground we were working in is soft floodplain loam, but I was able to plant between 10-15k plants before the units broke down significantly, both in the gear box. Well worth the $$ invested vs a shovel / laborers.Ended up buying a 121 to finish the job of the one gallon plants, and used the 45's (after repairs) to finish planting an additional 120k small grasses. (Used the small bits designed for the machine)The only major issues other than the gearbox was the throttle cables. They got sticky fast and were difficult to actuate. The spark arrestors clogged within the first week, rendering the machine inoperable, but they are easy to remove. March 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works Great! Bought this to plant flowers, dig holes for landscaping, and for post holes. I have also used it to soften dirt for trenches. It chews through roots, clay, and weed mat without difficulty. An awesome little machine! March 24, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by more power would be nice easy start, soft ground works well. Hard clay clutch stalls it.,could use a nitrous system.Works well for plant bulbs in soft soil. December 15, 2012
