Consumers looking for electric alternatives in outdoor power equipment tools can turn to their local STIHL dealer for a premium line of long-lasting electric products with the same high quality they have come to expect from STIHL gasoline-powered tools.

The latest additions to the STIHL line of electric power tools are two new lightweight and powerful electric blowers, the STIHL BGE 61 and BGE 71, that, in addition to powerful performance, deliver a sound level near normal conversation: BGE 61 — 64 dB(A) and BGE 71 — 58 dB(A) on low speed (as measured per ANSI B175.2).

The STIHL line of electric tools include chain saws, line trimmers, blowers and hedge trimmers for occasional and professional use and all feature the quality and reliability that have been the hallmark of STIHL since 1926.

As a leading manufacturer of outdoor power equipment, STIHL has invested considerable resources in the research and development of environmentally responsible products. STIHL has made great progress in reducing emissions by taking advantage of the latest in engine technologies including hybrid engines, stratified charge, catalytic converters, and electric. STIHL bases the technology selected for a particular product on what is best suited to the product's application.

While leading the way in developing cleaner engines, STIHL is also finding ways to minimize environmental impact by offering non-petroleum based oils and lubricants like the highly biodegradable STIHL HP Ultra engine oil and BioPlus bar and chain oil.

To find out more about the complete line of electric products; low-emission, gasoline-powered tools; and highly biodegradable engine and bar oils and to find a local STIHL servicing dealer, go to http://stihlusa.com/.
