VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – STIHL Incorporated, the Virginia
Beach manufacturer of chain saws and outdoor power equipment,
has announced the promotion of Christian Koestler from manager
of special projects to manager of manufacturing engineering.
In his new position, Koestler will oversee the engineering
team and manufacturing functions for the 1,200-employee facility.
Koestler joined STIHL in 2000 as a project engineer and most recently served as manager of special projects where he developed a comprehensive automation strategy by organizing a new department, managing capital budgets and supervising automation engineers.
