Meet Bland Landscaping, a family-owned landscaping company in North Carolina committed to implementing environmental changes through every aspect of their business.

When STIHL introduced its series of fuel-efficient backpack blowers, the Blands put them to the test and found that in less than two years, they could pay for the cost of the new low-emission blowers in fuel savings alone. The company also ran a bio-diesel experiment in their fleet of 90 trucks, and now also use bio-diesel in their tractors, loaders and backhoes, in addition to a third of their truck fleet.
