Lithium-Ion Batteries
STIHL Lithium-Ion battery technology offers users an environmentally responsible
option for meeting a wide range of their outdoor power equipment needs. Lithium-Ion
batteries reduce dependence on fossil fuels and eliminate the cost of fuel and two-cycle
oil. Two different batteries are available that can be charged hundreds of times
with minimal battery memory limitation. There is no gradual drop in power – batteries
are high performance – both run at full speed until depleted.
STIHL 36-volt Lithium-Ion batteries feature an “intelligent” circuit board with
a microprocessor providing reliable operation, durability and long life. Temperature
sensors protect against battery overload and overheating. An LED display indicates
charge level so you’re always aware of how much power is left.
Batteries are subjected to rigorous testing to ensure they meet STIHL quality and
safety standards. STIHL has partnered with the RBRC (Rechargeable Battery Recycling
Corporation), and batteries can be returned for recycling at participating STIHL
servicing Dealers.

AP 80 Lithium-Ion Battery
The 36-volt AP 80 Lithium-Ion battery is designed for longer running times with quick recharges. The AP 80 allows equipment to run at full speed until battery is depleted so there is no gradual drop in power during use. Batteries can be charged hundreds of times without any noticeable loss in capacity, and special battery electronics constantly monitor the battery to ensure optimal operation and a long service life.

AP 160 Lithium-Ion Battery
For users who frequently need to tackle larger landscaping tasks, STIHL recommends the long-lasting power of the AP 160 Battery. Packing 36 volts of STIHL power, the AP 160 also delivers twice the amp hours over standard Lithium-Ion batteries, providing longer runtimes for extended use. The AP 160 allows equipment to run at full speed until battery is depleted so there is no gradual drop in power during use. STIHL Lithium-Ion batteries can be charged hundreds of times without any noticeable loss in capacity.

AL 100 Standard and AL 300 Rapid Battery Chargers
- Switches off automatically after charging to prevent over-charging
- LED display indicates charge in progress
- 70-minute charge time with the AL 100 Standard Charger for AP 80
- 25-minute charge time with the AL 300 Rapid Charger for AP 80
- AL 300 has a cooling fan to cool the battery as well as the charger

STIHL Battery Belt & Bag
- Comfortable and lightweight battery belt with battery bag for one battery, electric
cable and battery adapter housing
- Belt is complete with cushion and harness buckle to provide comfort and ease of

- Separate bag available in the accessory product range to carry a second battery

- Bags can be easily attached with Velcro® fastener (up to 2 additional
bags can be added for a total of 3)

- The battery belt and bag transfers the weight of the battery to the hips, reducing
