Mike Preddy - Mid-Atlantic STIHL

Mike Preddy is a Product Applications Specialist with Mid-Atlantic STIHL. Mike has been employed by Mid-Atlantic STIHL since 1982 in a variety of service related positions.

He is a trainer/demonstrator who educates individuals in the proper and correct use of STIHL outdoor power equipment. He teaches product usage seminars and power equipment applications. He provides the knowledge people need to have to use STIHL equipment properly. Mike works with all kinds of end-users from homeowners to professional loggers. He also teaches and demonstrates proper maintenance of STIHL equipment.

Mike has received numerous national awards during his tenure, including the National Award for Excellence in Field Product Applications Training in 1989 and 1993. His product engineering improvement idea for a heavy duty filter for the 044 chain saw was adopted by STIHL, and later nationally recognized.

He also received the STIHL National Technical Services Award in 1983, 1985, and 1986 for his technical training and development of the STIHL Servicing Dealers in the Mid-Atlantic STIHL territory.

Mike's professional affiliations include the American Pulpwood Association, North Carolina Forestry Association, Virginia Forestry Association, and the South Carolina Forestry Association.
