Jay Ostwald is the Applications Specialist for STIHL Southeast, Inc. Jay is based in Sarasota, FL and is responsible for Florida's west coast from Citrus County south to Collier County.

Jay's career started with STIHL 10 years ago and has encompassed many departments, including warehouse, management and sales. Now, his time is spent working hands-on with landscape companies, municipalities, golf courses, and arborists making sure STIHL products perform to their expectations.

Jay has successfully completed the Bronze and Silver level national technical training program offered by STIHL Incorporated. He also attended the 2005 National Application Specialist meeting held at STIHL Inc., in Virginia Beach. This program gives all the specialists from across the nation time together to share their experiences, tour the factory and brush up on the new products coming from STIHL.

Jay is dedicated to teaching the proper operation and use of STIHL products. He also teaches and demonstrates preventive maintenance to landscape operations and government agencies.
