(Virginia Beach, Va.) – STIHL Inc., the number one selling brand of gasoline-powered handheld outdoor power equipment in America for homeowners and professional landscapers*, has announced the appointment of Casey McGrath to the position of branch manager for Northeast STIHL, based in Shelton, Conn.
McGrath will be responsible for directing and managing the sales, distribution and service of all products, parts and accessories at the company-owned branch, and directing the development of advertising and marketing plans for the territory, which includes Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Since 2010, McGrath has held the branch manager role at Pacific STIHL, where he was responsible for California, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii and Guam.
“Casey has been an integral part of the STIHL team for several years now, and brings a solid knowledge of the STIHL business with fresh ideas for future success in his new role at Northeast STIHL,” said Nick Jiannas, vice president of sales and marketing for STIHL Inc.
McGrath, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Kentucky, has more than 17 years of industry experience as well as a long history with STIHL. He began as a territory manager in 1993 at STIHL distributor Bryan Equipment Sales, Inc. in Loveland, Ohio. McGrath then worked as a product manager at STIHL Inc. before transferring back to the distributor as northern sales manager, where he was later promoted to vice president of marketing.
McGrath replaces Nick Jiannas, who was recently promoted to vice president of sales and marketing for STIHL Inc. in Virginia Beach, Va.
