(Virginia Beach, VA) — STIHL Inc., manufacturer of the number-one selling brand of gasoline-powered handheld outdoor power equipment in America*, increased its sponsorship of the Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS) for 2012 from a Silver Level to a Gold Elite Level Partner in Professionalism sponsor, which includes sponsorship of the education program at the PGMS School of Grounds Management at the Green Industry and Equipment Expo (GIE+EXPO). PGMS was established in 1911 as a professional society for individuals in grounds management careers for the purpose of education and professional advancement.
