(Cincinnati, Ohio) — Bryan Equipment Sales, Inc. is celebrating 60 years of service to outdoor power equipment dealers in six states. Capping another year of positive revenue progression, the company recently completed its third major warehouse expansion since 1986 and now services more than 1,200 STIHL dealers.
"During a year where industry consolidations and drops in product sales permeated the news, Bryan Equipment Sales and STIHL were both expanding their facilities," said Rick Bryan, IV, the company's president. "Last year's addition tripled our warehouse storage capacity and we are in the process of building a state-of-the-art training facility."
The new facility incorporates energy-saving technology and features high bay storage racking systems that increase efficiency in processing orders to customers.
Bryan said he is planning a grand-opening gala celebration in October that will welcome Hans Peter Stihl, Chairman of the Advisory Board of Andreas Stihl, Waiblingen, Germany and STIHL Inc. president Fred J. Whyte to meet with more than 900 full-line servicing dealers of STIHL products.
"We have aggressively marketed this product for over 41 years to our six-state region, consisting of: Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, middle and western Tennessee and West Virginia. Since 1967, we have shipped over four million STIHL power tools," said Bryan. "We want this to be a big celebration with our dealers since they are the reason for our ongoing success."
Bryan Equipment is one of the largest STIHL distributors in the U.S. The company was founded by Frederick E. Bryan in the basement of his home in Loveland, Ohio in 1948. Now the company has 75 full-time employees working in over 125,000 square feet of office and warehouse space committed to servicing STIHL dealers.
Retired company Chairman, Rick Bryan, III points out, "Historically there were three big names in the handheld equipment business who decided to abandon the servicing dealer in the mid-sixties for the mass merchants, which were the 'big box' stores of their time. It left the door wide open for STIHL since they have always been committed to independent dealers. Those three companies are no longer in business and STIHL is thriving."
"We've seen tremendous growth over the past 42 years as a STIHL distributor," said Bryan, III. "This new facility will help us further streamline our order processing system and deliver service beyond our customers' expectations."
