STIHL Superboat
Fresh off their success in the Superboat Stock series, the STIHL Superboat has moved up in class to the Super Cat series and is off to a winning start in 2010. Bob Noble, Jr., President of STIHL Southeast in Orlando Florida is the driver of the 38 foot Skater Catamaran. His teammate, Grant Bruggemann controls the throttles. The new STIHL Superboat was built by Douglas Marine in Douglas, Michigan and was rigged by Grant’s Custom Rigging in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The twin Mercury 525 horsepower engines with #6 drives reach speeds up to 130 MPH.
The team enjoyed success in the Superboat Stock series, winning the National and World Championships in 2008 and finishing in 2nd place in the World Championships in 2009. The Super Cat series features a highly competitive field and exciting racing at each stop in the Superboat International circuit.
