A decent points night! That about says it all for Saturday night's race for us. We started last in our heat and finished 3rd, qualifying us for the "A Main". We then finished 10th in that race after being tapped from behind and spun around on lap 2. I tried to hang on to the lead lap but starting in the rear in the "A Main" is very hard to catch up to the leader. The car performed well but not yet fast enough this night. 21 points keeps us in contention for the top 20 for now. 3 Races left. Still looking for that 1st win!

Wow! We had the STIHL #10 car hooked up in our heat race. I drew the last starting position for the heat race and managed to come out with a 3rd place finish. That set us up for a great points opportunity in the field of the night's top finishers in their, heats the "A Main". We grabbed the pole position for the start and motored our way to an 8th place finish snatching 23 points in the process. The car handled really well, but we will loosen the car to free up a little more speed this weekend in Hampton.

Back on track was the highlight of our night. We gained 4 tenths of a second on our laps. That doesn't sound like much but considering we were running 8.9 second laps the last 3 races before the night I was very please to run back in the 8.5 second level. The fastest cars are running 8.2 were not far off now. We finished 9th in the B Main. Not our best finish but at least were moving in the right direction. With a known good setup under the car were due for a win.
Come see us this weekend in the Norfolk Scope bring home a trophy!

We came rolling into Norfolk Scope and unloaded the #10 STIHL Dodge off the trailer with high hopes of coming home with a win but getting ran into from behind didn't help our night much at all. On about lap 10 of our Main a rookie driver who then drove right under us and flipped us over on our roof. The First time this season our Dodge hasn't been able to finish a race. We ended up breaking a clevis end going into the steering rack putting us out for the rest of the race. The good news is we get to drop our two worst races so this shouldn't hurt us at all in the points battle. We learned allot on the setup and will return with a much improved handling car this weekend at the Hampton Coliseum.
Come see me at the track this weekend!

Race #5 recap
We came into the night looking for a good consistent run. After running decent laps in practice we decided to pull out in search of a little more speed in the 3rd practice and ended up getting a little loose and flipping the car over on its roof. With some quick pit work we managed to get into the heat race in time and qualify for the "B Main" we pulled the 12th starting position and after a 1st lap crash we moved all the way up to 4th. On the restart we had gotten hung out on the top side of the track and had to wait to file back in line in the fastest groove. We hung on to a 8th place finish, not bad considering how many cautions there were.
As soon as the points are updated
we will get you the standings! Were still looking
good. See you at the Norfolk Scope on January 20th

Coming into the race we had our sights set for running the best we could with our new setup. Karl Richter tweaked the front end and got it pointed in the right direction, Jeff Davis made sure the tire pressures were where they should be and Charlie Crecelius talked (spotted) me thru the entire night, guiding me thru traffic. We finished 3rd in our heat race after leading most of the race. That put us in the "A Main" for the feature. We started 6th and fought our way thru several incidents on the track. We found ourselves just a bit short in this one, but held on to an 8th place finish. Great Job Crew! Another good points night!
November 13, 2006
We started the night off with a lot of success on getting the car faster. We qualified 6th for the "B Main", which unfortunately puts us on the outside. The race started with cars coming together in front of us and we somehow managed to drive thru the first wreck with minimal body damage. Because it was on the first lap they restarted double file again. Within 3 laps another incident occurred, this time collecting me into it, requiring some duct tape to the nose of our red #10. This put us to the rear of the field. I managed to work back up a few spots when a 4-car pile up in front of me pinched me into the outside retaining wall. This time the front end took some more damage and I tried to finish the race but had to pull off the racetrack with a cut down the right front tire. We learned a lot about our setup, as our times were our fastest this year so far. We will make some adjustments and get us back on the track for the December race!

Our second race of the year got off to a slow start. We qualified in the c main and started 2nd. We ran pretty decent for most of the race and got spun out from behind. I fought back to a 3rd place finish putting us in the TOP DOG Race for the 1st time this season. We pulled a 14th starting spot in the 14-car field. I knew my work was cut out for me in this race and managed to find myself running in the 6th place position at the end. I contribute this finish to a solid running car with no problems with the car the whole night. Great job pit crew!
Great points night for us!
We will be ready for them this Saturday night
on the 11th!

Well
we started the night off great! Pulled the pole
position for our first Heat race of the season.
We led the first 19 laps of the 25 lap event to
fall to a 3rd place finish due to a brake malfunction
advancing us to our first "A Main" event. The night's fastest cars compete in this event to capture the most points at the end of the night. We again pulled a great starting spot, Outside lane of the front row! The 50 lap event had its share of cautions including one that I got collected up in putting us toward the back of the field. We finished a Respectable 8th place finish in the "A Main" for
the night.
We have some repairs to make but also have
some plans to add some speed to the #10 Stilh
car to stay at the front of the pack in the "A
Main"
Race #2 is in Norfolk Nov 4th.

I have a really great team put together this year. With our experience and my driving knowledge we should be able to put together some really good finishes. The objective the first few races is to obviously win but also finish the races.
