Measure the depth gauges with every
chain sharpening and lower as necessary. |

Check the depth of the bar groove
for proper drive link clearance and examine the
bar rails for even wear. |

Always wear gloves when handling
saw chain. |

Keep a scabbard on the bar when saw
is not in use. |

Make sure that your chain is always
properly lubricated. Always use quality bar & chain
oil. Do not use motor oil. |
